Widely acknowledged as the definitive accessible supercar, the mighty Nissan GT-R is designed to be driven fast and skilfully by just about anybody, over a variety of road conditions and in total confidence. It is also about everyday practicality, offering four seats and reasonable luggage space.

Significant improvements to the engine, chassis and transmission which accentuates the pure performance potential of the GT-R are the key changes to Nissan's flagship model for the 2012 model year.

This latest version, which goes on sale from early December for the UK with deliveries expected in early 2012, is the most efficient yet. It offers even greater performance but this is allied to improved economy and lower emissions to provide further excitement to drivers and passengers.

As well as more power, the 2012 MY GT-R has a newly developed asymmetric suspension which compensates for greater weight on the driver's side in RHD models, enhanced transmission ‘feel' and a stronger body for extra rigidity and ever better handling.

Desirable, thrilling to drive and stunning to look at, the 370Z is everything the modern sports car driver could ask for. Following in the tracks of the iconic 350Z, the even more desirable 370Z sports a shorter wheelbase, is more powerful, and sees the debut of the world's first synchronised down/up shift rev control system. Above all, it continues the philosophy of its predecessor with accessible performance, sports car agility and an athletic design.

Dynamic new styling delivers a more aggressive appearance and a lighter, tighter structure, while the already exemplary levels of handling and grip delivered by the focussed rear-wheel drive chassis improve still further thanks to a front and rear track wider by 15mm and 55mm respectively, a wheelbase that's been shortened by 100mm and a body structure that offers greater rigidity.

What's more, enhancements introduced in the summer of 2011 see the Z get even better to drive. Chassis modifications have been engineered by technicians from Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTCE) based in Cranfield, Bedfordshire, tailoring the 370Z's suspension set-up to the UK's roads. The principal modification has been to retune the dampers to provide the ideal balance between ride comfort and high-speed handling.
