Nissan announces pricing and specification for all-new Navara

Nissan has announced its full pricing and specifications for the all-new NP300 Navara, which is intended to reassert the manufacturer at the top of the pick-up segment.

The new Navara, which consolidates Nissan's eighty-year pick-up heritage, will be available in five different trim levels Visia, Acenta, Acenta+, N-Connecta and Tekna. Commercial vehicle prices start at £18,376 OTR, whilst retail prices begin at £21,995.

Nissan will allow customers to specify their Navara with either a double or a king cab, and a 190bhp twin-turbo or 160bhp single turbo variant of the new 2.3-litre dCi engine. Customers can also choose from different drivetrains, with the option of two or four-wheel drive, and a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission.

The Navara is also equipped with a host of safety features, many of which come as standard across the range. This includes driver, passenger, side, knee and curtain airbags, electronic limited slip differential, hill start assist and hill descent control, as well as forward emergency braking on double cab models.

Nissan has developed the new car with the aim of delivering crossover-style comfort and refinement in a pick-up format, with all trim levels receiving an array of on-board equipment.

For instance, entry-level Visia models feature manual air conditioning, Bluetooth telephone integration, an AUX socket for MP3 connectivity, cruise control and automatic headlights.

The new Navara will hit showrooms in January 2016.
