Nissan's Juke-R 2.0 at a glance

Nissan's Juke-R 2.0 was the hotly anticipated sporty SUV that has not disappointed.

Described as a Juke crossed with a GT-R, two of the Japanese automotive manufacturer's most popular cars, the Juke-R was destined to be a hit.

The Juke-R is basically a highly-tuned family SUV, powered by a remapped version of the aggressive V6 engine you'll find in the 2012 GT-R.

Boasting carbon-fibre pieces of bodywork, the Juke-R both looks and feels like a road-going track car. In place of the original Juke's modest 1.5-litre diesel sits a 3.8-litre V6 twin-turbo engine that produces a whopping 600bhp, sending the Juke-R 2.0 speeding off the mark, and reaching 62mph in just three seconds.

An impressive four-wheel-drive system and a clever ECU mean the Juke-R is just as capable in wet conditions as it is in dry.

The interior of the Juke-R remains remarkably similar to the original Juke, albeit with GT-R displays and paddle shifts. A roll-cage and bucket seats contribute to the sporty style, and the four-point harness seatbelt ensures the occupants' safety.

The Juke-R features a revised rear and front end, and features streamlined bodywork to improve the vehicle's aerodynamics. The carbon-fibre bumpers also have double sized air intakes in order to keep the V6 cool and the latest GT-R alloys complete the new Juke-R 2.0's bold appearance.

To drive, the Juke-R 2.0 impresses in its ability handle even the trickiest of corners, and the acceleration capable of a machine its size it weighs a massive 1806kg. However, due to this bulky body and large wheelbase, it suffers from body roll through the corners and lacks some of the agility of the GT-R.

With a price tag of £406,000 and produced in limited numbers, the Nissan Juke-R 2.0 is the ultimate family SUV.
