2. Choose to add a part exchange

If you have a car which you’d like to part exchange, simply answer a few questions on its condition, mileage and outstanding finance and we’ll give you an instant valuation, which will be added onto your purchase.

3. Add optional extras and accessories

You may fancy some extras to help protect the condition of your vehicle, for example, paint protection, mud flaps and floor mats. These can be added to your basket at checkout.

4. Delivery or Collection

Choose to have your car delivered to your door, or come and collect it from us – whichever works best for you. Home delivery is free if you live within 30 miles of the dealership; if you live further away, we can still deliver at an additional £1 per mile.

5. Choose how to pay

If you’re paying with finance or in full, this can be arranged safely and securely online.

Can I explore a car before I buy?

Absolutely! Our sales team is available to give you a personalised video tour around any vehicle over a live video call. Click here to make an appointment. If you'd like to see it in person, you can visit the dealership and complete your purchase later if you prefer.

Can I trade in my old car?

Yes! Just answer a few questions about condition and mileage and we'll give you an instant valuation online which can be included in your quote. Just make sure the information you give is accurate and you have the V5c document (you can find out more about our Conditions of Valuation here.

If you still have outstanding finance we may be able to clear that for you, meaning you could be in your next car sooner than you think!

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (as long as they're in your name), apart from corporate and international cards.

What do I need to apply for car finance online?

To apply for car finance online you'll need your driving licence, employment details, delivery address and billing details. Your billing details and address should match your driving licence.

If you have outstanding finance on a car that you're trading in, you will need to know about the mileage, condition and an idea of the settlement figure (we can contact your finance company for an exact figure if you're not sure).

Are the cars fully checked?

All of our cars undergo stringent testing by fully trained technicians in state-of-the-art workshops before being sanitised by our expert valeters.

Can I buy accessories online too?

You can! Mudflaps, floor mats and paint protection are all available to buy as optional extras. Just add them to your basket!

What about Road Tax?

12 months Road Tax is included with all petrol and diesel cars and we can arrange all the paperwork on your behalf. Just another part of the service!

How long does it take for my car to be delivered?

We will give you an estimated delivery date when you purchase your vehicle and you will receive a personalised video of your vehicle 24 hours prior to your delivery, which will explain all the key features and how they work.

You'll need to be present on delivery/collection day, so remember to bring your driving licence.

How much does home delivery cost?

Home delivery on used cars is free if you live under 30 miles from the Macklin Motors dealership the vehicle is purchased from. If you're more than 30 miles away, the delivery cost is calculated at £1 per additional mile.

For example, if you live 50 miles away delivery will be £20. Pricing for deliveries that require a transporter will be agreed with you once we have received the cost from the supplier.

Will my vehicle hand over be Covid safe?

Before delivery, our team will deep-clean your vehicle, ensuring the steering wheel, gear stick and handbrake are fully sanitised, with the driving seat covered for extra protection.

We are following government guidelines to keep you and our colleagues safe. Vehicles will be fully sanitised and delivery / hand over will be contactless. Our drivers and dealership colleagues will be wearing the correct PPE and will keep a two-metre distance from you at all times.

What if I'm not happy with my car?

Not to worry - we offer a no fuss 14 day money-back guarantee. Just contact the dealership directly and they'll make arrangements for the safe return of the vehicle and a refund.

What will I need to value my car?

For your valuation, you will need to provide us with:

Your vehicle registration

The current mileage of your car

Personal contact information

We will request further information from you if you proceed to make an appointment after your valuation.

Will you still buy my car if there is any outstanding finance on it? 

Yes, of course!

All you need to do is contact your finance company to request a valid settlement letter and bring this with you to your appointment. Whatever the outstanding balance is, we will settle it for you and deduct it from the payment we give you for your car.

If you owe more finance than the value of your car, we will still happily purchase the vehicle from you - you will just need to pay us the shortfall.

Important note: Do not cancel your direct debit until we have received your car and confirmed that all finance has been paid. If you do cancel the direct debit early, you may risk owing a payment which you will be obliged to pay.
