WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

There are different types of electric and hybrid vehicles to discover, so before you rush to buy the first one you come across, it’s best to know what each term means.

Are you wanting to be completely eco-friendly or are you looking to gradually introduce the greener driving experience into your life? You can either choose from an all-electric Ford vehicle or a hybrid version depending on your preference.

All-Electric

Zero fuel. Zero emissions.

The greenest way to travel, a fully electric vehicle releases zero emissions on every journey.

Mach-E

Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV)

Plug-in, charge up

Featuring an even bigger battery, a plug-in hybrid allows you to release zero emissions for between 30-50 miles, perfect for daily journeys such as the school run or your commute. You can switch to hybrid mode for a more efficient drive or to the fuel engine to power you through longer journeys.

Hybrid

Switch it up - electric or fuel

Similar to a mild hybrid, a full hybrid battery recharges itself, meaning you don’t need to plug in and charge up. It features a bigger battery than a mild hybrid which allows you to drive on electric mode only, for a certain number of miles.

Mild Hybrid

Fuel efficient. Cost-effective.

A mild hybrid features a small electric motor which powers the technology within the car and assists the fuel engine on every journey. It is unable to run on all-electric power alone, however, the combination of both power sources allows for lower emissions and a more efficient drive.
