Ford reveals the new Edge Sport to extend European line-up

Ford has revealed a new upscale Edge utility vehicle, which will extend the European line-up of the brand's SUVs later this year.

The new sport range will include the Kuga Titanium X Sport, the Mondeo Titanium X, The S-Max and EcoSport S. The refined and spacious Edge Sport SUV will offer several advanced new technologies.

The new features include Ford adaptive steering, which optimises the steering response and makes Edge easier to manoeuvre by continually changing the steering ratio according to vehicle speed. The Edge will also come equipped with active noise cancellation, which directs sound waves through the audio system to enhance the overall engine sound and cabin ambiance, and a front split view camera, which makes restricted visibility at junctions or around parking spaces easier to negotiate.

The Edge Sport is designed to be a modern vehicle, which will appeal to buyers who want to drive a stylish car and have fun behind the wheel.

Its exterior features are designed to set it apart on the road and define the model as a performance-inspired utility vehicle. It will come equipped with high-gloss black grille and window pillars, colour-coded bumpers, exterior door-cladding, door mirrors and door handles, as well as a sports-inspired skid plate and rear diffuser element.

The sporty elements don't stop there, thanks to distinctive twin rectangular exhausts, 20-inch alloy wheels finished in Dark Tarnish, Ebony interior door trims, and sports seats with carbon-effect inserts.
