New Ford Mondeo named UK's 'Best Family Car' of 2015
The Car of the Year judging panel has named Ford's new Mondeo the UK's 'Best Family Car'.
Following its launch just two months ago, more than 11,000 new Mondeos have been ordered across the UK, ranging from the turbocharged 1.0-litre EcoBoost 124bhp petrol and high-power 209bhp bi-turbo 2.0-litre diesel to the 186bhp petrol-electric hybrid engine.
The UK Car of the Year honours are decided by a panel of experienced British motoring journalists, including contributors to national newspapers, consumer and industry magazines, websites and TV.
The most popular of the new Mondeo's advanced technologies have been Active Park Assist for both automated parallel and perpendicular parking, and the Dynamic LED headlights. These adopt the optimum beam pattern for the road type and weather conditions.
Head of the UK Car of the Year awards John Challen said: "One of the most eagerly-awaited cars of the year does not disappoint. It features great levels of equipment and technology, a sensible cockpit layout, and as is the case with almost every Ford is a joy to drive."
