Renault Adds Flagship 'Iconic' Spec to All-New Megane E-Tech 100% Electric Range
The new specification includes a heat pump for increased efficiency and a wider colour palette compared to the Launch Edition.
Renault has expanded its all-new Megane E-Tech 100% electric range with the addition of a new specification, ‘Iconic’.
The flagship model differs vastly from previous versions including the late Launch Edition, bringing a heat pump and exclusive colour palette to the mix for both increased efficiency and style.
But just how will the new model benefit drivers? Read on for all you need to know.
Comfortably efficient
The all-new Megane E-Tech Iconic model offers to bring increased comfort to your journeys in a way that also helps conserve your electric range.
The model uses heat pump technology developed by the brand’s thermal management engineers and helps to recover heat from the battery and electric motor, using this to heat the interior cabin while also preserving range.
The pump is more efficient than traditional heat pumps, using two times less energy to do so. This means you can enjoy a warm, cosy interior in a way that doesn’t impact your electric range.
It works through a circuit of pipes running through the battery and motor, which will convert the heat recovered during times of heavy load into energy used to heat the interior, without reducing your range.
When the temperature outside drops to below 10 degrees for instance, the all-new Megane E-Tech’s range can increase by up to 9% on motorways while giving passengers a warm, comfortable interior on colder days.
Colder weather is one of the factors which can affect the range of an electric car, though with the new Megane E-Tech’s innovative updates, you can enjoy up to 280 miles (WLTP) range with maximised efficiency, whatever the weather.
Iconic Style
With a new model comes new style, which the Megane E-Tech 100% Electric Iconic offers in abundance. Renault have expanded the colour palette for the new specification including a choice of solid, metallic, or special metallic paints.
Choose from Glacier White, Diamond Black, Shadow Grey, Ceramic Grey, or Midnight Blue to reflect your own sense of premium style.
Already an award-winning crossover, the all-new Megane E-Tech 100% Electric Iconic infuses style elsewhere with features such as 20” Enos alloy wheels, and a sporty gold F1 blade.
Promising top-technology, you’ll also receive a 9-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, smart rear-view mirror, and around-view 3D camera system for uncompromised vision. Keeping you connected is a 12.3” dashboard display and a 9” multimedia display so that you’re always in-the-know.
Part of a new generation, the Megane E-Tech 100% Electric is the first to be built on the advanced CMF-EV platform, incorporating the brand’s ‘sensual tech’ design concept, as well as the first to display the new ‘Nouvel’R’ logo.
Priced from £36,995, the all-new Megane E-Tech 100% Electric is also available in Equilibre and Techno versions, offering a range of different features.
