Toyota Is the Most Reliable Volume Car Brand in Britain
For the second year in a row, Toyota has been awarded the title of most reliable volume car brand. Its success was due to the unmatched warranty and hybrid powertrain options provided. The most reliable models included the RAV4 and Yaris.
According to recent research, Toyota is the most reliable volume car brand in the UK. The 2023 What Car? Reliability Survey revealed that Toyota was the second most reliable. The top spot was taken by its premium sister brand Lexus.
The RAV4 was again crowned as the most reliable large SUV with a 98.7% score. Meanwhile, the Yaris reached second and third place with its two different models. The older generation model achieved a 99.3% score, while the current car received 98.6%.

The data was produced from real experiences of drivers with cars up to five years old. Almost 22,000 motorists took part in the survey.
The participants were requested to report the amount and type of issues they had with their vehicles. They also provided information about how long it took to fix any problems and how much it cost.
Up to 32 different car brands and 178 models were included in the study.
Reliable Toyota
The research found that models with a hybrid electric powertrain were the most reliable. Almost every Toyota model is available as a hybrid, making it a highly reliable brand.
Overall, Toyota models were seen as durable cars. Plus, the manufacturer’s 10-year/100,000-mile unmatched warranty was considered as a promise of quality.
