Hibernian Keen To Rebound From Lost Points

Hibernian will look to bounce from back dropped points against Ross County in a busy week of action in the Scottish Premiership.

The Macklin Motors-backed side had picked up two draws from three matches leading up to a home game against Ross County, with confidence high after a hard fought goalless draw against Celtic at Easter Road.

Hibs secured a first half lead when Ben Purrington deflected a shot into his own goal, and Portuguese forward Jair Tavares then doubled the home side’s advantage in the second half when he netted his first goal for the club.

However, just as Hibs looked to be heading for a first league win since late September, the introduction of Yan Dhanda changed the game as his cross was deflected in by Allan Delferriere for an own goal and he then played a role in Jordan White smashing in the equaliser.

From there, Hibs went into the Viaplay Cup semi-finals against Aberdeen at Hampden Park and having seen a Martin Doyle goal controversially chalked off following a VAR review, the Hibees saw their hopes of making the final ended when Bojan Miovski hit a late winner.

Hibs now travel to St Mirren before a home game against Kilmarnock in the league.
