Kia Motors (UK) Limited has taken the crown for being the ‘EV Manufacturer of the Year’ at the 2020 GreenFleet Awards.
However, Kia was not the only one receiving praise as Lorraine Fellowes, Regional Business Sales Manager at Kia, was awarded ‘EV Champion’ status at the awards.
Kia managed to take the title over nine other shortlisted vehicle manufacturers in the ‘EV Manufacturer of the Year’ category, which was sponsored by Electric Zoo.
Kia also managed to pick up the “PHEV Manufacturer of the Year’ award at the 2017 GreenFleet awards and continues to maintain its reputation as a recognised leader in electric vehicles.
Lorraine Fellowes, Regional Business Sales Manager at Kia Motors (UK) Limited commented on the awards, saying: “To be recognised for this award fills me with pride in the work I have achieved over my nine years with Kia, and for the company to win ‘EV Manufacturer of the Year’ is a credit to the hard work and commitment of everyone associated with it. Kia is at the forefront of the EV market, with every three in 10 vehicles sold in the UK being electrified, and with its plan to bring 11 new EVs to the UK market over the next five years, this figure is only set to grow.”
There was a digital ceremony held on 2 December 2020 to announce the 2020 GreenFleet Award-winners, which was hosted by Roger Atkins, founder of Electric Vehicles Outlook Limited. The purpose of the Awards is to recognise and celebrate companies and individuals that have worked towards and succeeded in cutting down transport emissions.
