Vauxhall Reveals New Combo Life Electric Van With Exciting New Updates

Vauxhall’s new Combo Life Electric van has been fully unveiled, after being given the modern Vauxhall treatment.
Following the manufacturer’s goal to offer a fully electric version of all its cars and vans from 2024, it looks like Vauxhall is off to a good start.

Distinctive Vauxhall design
One of the biggest visual changes you’ll notice with the new Vauxhall Combo Life Electric is an updated front end. As with the new Vauxhall SUV range, the Combo Life Electric has received the brand’s signature front vizor.
Incorporating the ‘Griffin’ logo and sleek LED headlights into a single unit, this enables a more modern, seamless look.
Other additions include new IntelliLux Matrix LED headlights for top vision, while the interior has been given an upgrade too.
In the driver’s cabin, you’ll find a 10” colour touchscreen, along with wireless smartphone connection and inductive charging. Bringing you complete connectivity in one place.
It’s now available in two vehicle lengths: L1 (4.41 metres) and L2 (4.76 metres). The former offers space for up to five passengers, while the longer L2 version carries up to seven.
A panoramic sunroof lightens the cabin, with electrically activated sun protection. As for storage, the Vauxhall Combo Life Electric offers up to 27 options in total, including versatile overhead storage.
Total storage capacity is up to 186 litres, offering plenty of space to store everyday items and luggage. You’ll also enjoy ample loading space depending on the seating configuration – up to 775 litres for the L1 and 4,000 litres for the L2.
Improved electric range and performance
Adventure-seekers will be pleased to know that the Vauxhall Combo Life Electric now offers more range. With improved technology in a practical underfloor location, the 52kWh battery now offers up to 205 miles (WLTP) range.
Around 31 miles (18%) more than the previous model, this allows you to go further than ever before. A highly efficient heat pump helps to conserve battery range at lower temperatures for optimal performance.
Powered by a new 100kW electric motor, the electric van offers up to 136PS and 260NM torque, with a top speed of 84mph. You can switch between three driving modes – Normal, Eco, and Power – to further enhance your drive.
Plus, you can adjust the regenerative braking system in three recuperation levels with paddle shifters. These are located behind the steering wheel.
When it comes to charging the Vauxhall Combo Life Electric, you’ll be back on the road in no time. An 11kW (AC) on-board charger and 100kW (DC) charging capability mean you can regain up to 80% capacity in just 30 minutes.
Enhanced driver assistance
With up to 18 driver assistance systems, the Vauxhall Combo Life Electric provides a safer, smoother drive.
These include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, a 180-degree rear view camera and more. Intelli-Grip with Hill Descent Control enables a firmer grip on snow, mud, and sand, so you can drive with confidence.
Sensors located at the front and rear plus ‘flank guard’ and blind spot warning will make all manoeuvres easy. Meanwhile, there are numerous other systems available to assist you on the road, such as Traffic Sign Recognition and Lane Keep Assist.
Other technology updates include voice recognition, which you can activate by saying “Hey Vauxhall”. Smartphones can also be connected using Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with on-board charging.
