Nissan announce insurance partnership that will benefit new car buyers

Nissan have announced a new benefit for their new car buyers. 'Free to Go' driveaway cover will be offered to the new owners via a dedicated Nissan portal at their local Nissan dealer.

Not only will they be able to take advantage of the immediate, and free cover, but the car buyers can also obtain a competitive insurance quote and purchase their insurance policy through a Nissan quote and buy website, which will remove the hassle of shopping around for insurance.

The announcement comes following the appointment by Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd of Maiden Insurance partnerships as its new retail insurance partner.

Nissan hopes the three-year deal will further enhance its purchase and ownership experience by creating online and offline insurance solutions specifically tailored for new Nissan car and LCV buyers a first for Nissan in the UK.

Under the agreement, Maiden will also manage the Nissan employee car ownership scheme.

Ronnie Simmons, Head of Partnership Development (UK) at Maiden, commented: "We are absolutely delighted to be working with Nissan. The strength of their brand and vehicle sales performance allied with Maiden's fresh and innovative approach presents a great opportunity to grow Nissan's insurance business to the level expected for a leading manufacturer."
